Trailer Accuracy and Platform Restrictions
The footage shows a Las Vegas partygoer watching the tournament final while displaying a $5,000 Kalshi contract predicting a Spanish victory. Kalshi states the sequence misleads viewers regarding current platform operations, noting that sports contracts were already restricted for Nevada users at the time of filming. The company clarifies that the displayed contract was purchased in May 2025 and the scene only shows a saved screenshot.The platform also highlights a terminology issue within the trailer. Kalshi notes that the term "bet slip" appears in the footage, despite never being part of the platform interface. Netflix has rejected these assertions.
Kalshi has not yet initiated formal legal proceedings. The company has informed the streaming service that a lawsuit may be filed. The Nevada regulatory restriction applies to sports-related prediction contracts and has shaped platform operations in the region since the ban took effect.
